In Korea, listening to foreign music or watching a film in a foreign language is considered a criminal activity. In 2015, Kim Jong Un issued a decree canceling all cassette tapes and CDs containing state-banned songs to prevent dissent.
This law depends on the place of origin of the film:
1) Anyone watching an American movie can be hanged,
2) Whereas watching Indian films can lead to imprisonment.
3) Distributing pornography can also result in the death penalty.
(B) Falling asleep in the meeting while Kim was speaking could result in the death penalty. North Korean Defense Minister Hyon Yong-chol was executed by anti-aircraft gunfire in 2015 in front of more than 100 people for falling asleep during a Kim Jong Un event.
(C) Only male government officials are allowed to drive. Women are not allowed to drive despite working as traffic officers. Government restrictions allow only one person in a hundred to own a car.
(D) Only three television channels are provided for North Korean people to watch and they are all controlled by the government.
(E) The choice of profession of an individual is decided by the government based on the needs of the country. Those who do not comply are sent to concentration camps for forced labour.
(F) Tourists visiting the country are required to surrender their phones and computers and are allowed to take them back before returning. Guides accompany the tourists who have to religiously follow what the guards say.
